John MacDougall of Lunga had two sons John and Stewart and two daughters, Annie and Ishbel. Annie married a Mr Thorpe (brewer from Newark) and they lived at Ardbrecknish on Loch Awe were they built the small Chapel (Episcopalian) and had a large family of 9 children. All of which spent a lot of time at Lunga with their cousins. . Of the nine we know of General Thorpe son of Annie who lived with his sister Helen Thorpe in Hundleby (lincs) after his retirement and visited Lunga often.
Ishbel marries a Mr Preston, but I think quite a lot later as even in the obituary of Stewart 'For Mrs MacDougall of Lunga and his two Daughters, and for Mrs Thorpe of Ardbrecknish and Miss MacDougallof Lunga, his sisters, the deepest sympathy is felt in the fresh sorrow' she is obviously not married.
