Trains run from London to Glasgow on either the east or west coast route, on Virgin or Great Western Trains and Scotrail run sleeper trains from London to Edinburgh and Glasgow trains. Trains run from Glasgow to Oban passing some of the most spectacular scenery. This route is slow as it winds its way around deep valleys and lochs, but is well worth the three hour journey.
