He married Katherine Claudia Bruce Hamilton, daughter of Claud Hamilton Hamilton, 12th of Barns, on 8 August 1918.He died on 17 January 1954 at age 76.
Captain John Colin Howard Lindsay gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.
